Course Tutor

Priestess Bee Helygen

Bee Helygen is a life-long explorer of the mysteries of life, death and the expansion of the soul. For over 25 years she has walked the path of the Goddess, first as a Wiccan priestess and later, after retiring into elderhood, as an OBOD Ovate (Healer) and Practising Priestess of Avalon. She is one of the first Awenyddion (Inspirers) of the Anglesey Druid Order, with whom she journeyed for five years to rediscover the Welsh myths, poems and Triads in their original form. As Cariad Enaid (Soul Ally) she helps others to reclaim their Soul Purpose and Wellbeing and also serves as a companion to the dying on their final journey.

Her work with Cerridwen began many years ago and has become the focus of her spiritual work. In 2015 she reclaimed the role of Priestess of Cerridwen during a 48 hour initiation ritual at Llyn Tegid – Lake Bala, North Wales, where Cerridwen’s myth originates. A CPD (Continuing Professional Development) training specialist by profession, she creates and teaches the Priestess of Cerridwen course which she offered through the Glastonbury Goddess Temple for 2015-2022, and now offers from this year onwards through the Temple College of Avalon at

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have previous experience to do the training? Are there any prerequisites?
No, you do not need any previous experience. However, most people who are attracted to work with the Dark Goddesses have substantial life experience. All students need to be responsible for themselves and their emotions and be prepared to explore their shadow.

I feel I am in need of healing. Will this training support me in that?
Yes, this training supports students’ healing and soul expansion. However, this is not a therapy course and students will need to seek external support if that is what they need.

Will I be able to practise publicly as a priestess after taking this course?
The focus of this course is on your inner connection to the Dark Goddesses which will benefit you in many areas of your life. However, if you wish to conduct public ceremonies and rituals, we suggest you look at the Priestess of Cerridwen two-year training also taught by Bee Helygen.
What are the Terms & Conditions of the training?
Please find Terms and Conditions here.

How much does the training cost and is there a payment plan option?
The course costs £950 when paid in full. You can alternatively pay by instalments (£200 monthly for 5 months) which attracts a small additional administrative fee of £50.
Is there a Facebook group where students can connect?
Yes, a private group will be set up where students can connect and share their experiences and resources.

At what time will the live online trainings be held?
Usually Sundays in the pm UK Time. We will adapt depending on the geographical location of most of the students.

Will the live online training be recorded and is it necessary to attend live?
All live sessions are recorded, however it is most beneficial to join them live so that you can participate fully, ask questions, share experiences and connect with your sisters on the training. You are required to participate live in at least two thirds of the live seminars and the Online Dedication.
Peer Work in Break Out Rooms will not be recorded.

I’m not very good with technology. Will that be a problem?
The technology is simple to use for most people, however some students who are not used to being online can find it challenging to begin with. We have an orientation video to help you with this and ask that you contact us as soon as possible if you are still having difficulties so that we can support you individually – it’s usually the simplest thing that you have overlooked – and don’t worry, you won’t be the only one!
Is there printed course material?
No. All learning materials are digital and hosted on the online training portal. Some written material can be downloaded.

Is there a reading list?
Yes. This is optional but recommended. You will be sent the list with a comprehensive Welcome Letter after you have been accepted onto the training and paid..

Is there homework and what does this involve? How will I be assessed?
We call our work Directed Tasks and Guided Expansion. The directed tasks will be required whilst the guided expansion is for those of you who wish to explore further,
We are attempting to change your consciousness, one can not achieve that by using outdated and outmoded language and models,  no matter how familiar and comfortable this feels. I will not even tell you that you must read all the material. In the material there will be prompts that will help you consider, marvel, get you thinking, might challenge you and your thinking. All this is Goddesses’ way of guiding us on the path to Her. I am dropping the bread crumbs for the future generation of the Priestesshood. You chose to follow them.

Will I receive a certificate and what will I be able to call myself?
Following successful completion of the course including all coursework and an initiation ceremony you will receive an Initiation Certificate and will be able to call yourself a Priestess of the Dark Goddess.
The certificate will be provided by the Temple College of Avalon administered by course tutor Bee Helygen.

I also wish to explore working with another Dark Goddess not included in the course. Will that be possible?
Yes, the research methods and practices taught in the course will assist you in exploring other Dark Goddesses although these will not be named on your certificate.

How good does my English need to be in order to take this course?
You will need to be fluent in written and spoken English to gain most benefit from this course.

I have a disability/health issue – will I be able to join the course?
As this training is online there should be no issues re mobility. However, whilst we do our best to enable everyone to access the Dark Goddesses’ teachings, some disability/health challenges may make it difficult for you to fully participate in the training. Please contact course tutor Bee at bee@cerridwen.co.uk with your concerns. If Goddess wants you, you and she will find a way!
